Here’s a challenge. I’m trying to think of a way I can express an idea in knitting. In weaving this would be easy. But how to create or suggest an idea or an image through knitting. I like to emphasize colors or rather I prefer to use greens and browns.
Thinking out loud – I suppose some of the lace stitches or cables could be used.

Nothing but rain here in Seattle. January is proving to be a long month. My “garden” is a soggy mess. ……… But I do have a lot of birds. Hundreds, well let’s say many, little brown birds of delicate variations in size and pattern of coloring. Nature is amazing. However there is no problem in identifying the Northern Flicker – 2 of them visited my deck yesterday morning.
Lone picture of a greedy squirrel. The good thing is that he loosens the suet for the little brown birds who come along after he leaves.
The cat is in position for constant bird watching.

Gravestone for Zechariah Walker, South Cemetery, Woodbury, Lichfield County, Connecticut
Zechariah Walker was my 8th Great Grandfather. He was born in Boston in 1637, died in 1699, in Woodbury Connecticut at age 63.
His parents were born in England and married in Boston in 1635. His mother came to America in 1630. She lived first in Salem. I haven’t been able to determine when his father immigrated to America.
I like the way this gravestone has weathered – beautiful.
Love this image from Rubalcava Horticultural Services in County Wicklow Ireland. It reminds me also of a field of wildflowers at Airfield, an urban farm near my former home in Dublin. Or Monet’s famous painting of a field of Poppies.
