Crown Point New York April 21, 2017
Crown Point Essex County New York appears fairly frequently in my Family Tree. I think of it particularly as the place where my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Murdock was born. Her parents are buried there, also her great grandparents, and now I find that her great great grandmother died there. My grandmother’s great great grandmother would be my 3X great grandmother.
Catherine Losey, my 4X Great Grandmother, was laid to rest in the Wolcott Cemetery in Crown Point in 1820. She was born in New Jersey.
Falling Leaves October 26, 2016
not exactly the picture I wanted but it will have to do to convey the feeling of late autumn here in Glastonbury Connecticut. A lovely late Fall day, clear and cold. A slight breeze and more leaves come down.
But I have a cold and am staying inside just reading a book and knitting. Cozy.

Gravemarkers May 26, 2016
Not only do I find a certain beauty in old churches and old cemeteries, but old grave markers can have a special beauty and dignity. Here the ground surrounding the marker rather detracts from the beauty of the stone.
The marker for John Hutchins is n the Granary Burying Ground in Boston. John Hutchins was my 6X Great Grandfather. He was born in England in 1673, emigrated to New England, and died in Boston at age 65.
Below is the Granary Burying Ground. The photo was taken in October 2010 by Susan Kaufmann

I find this a lovely photo. It does look peaceful
