Having finished my top down sweater, I am now turning to finishing another long-term project. This is a cardigan knit in lime green Dale of Norway Heilo yarn. I now have to do the front bands and the neck but after looking at some of my Elizabeth Zimmermann books, I think I am going to do an I-cord border instead and make it a sort of jacket.
Why I have started a blog February 26, 2007
Janet’s top down sweater I have been thinking for several months about starting a blog. I spend a lot of time reading, and enjoying, other people’s blogs so now I want to “throw my hat into the ring.” My efforts at knitting have been the main impetus for finally taking the plunge. I have just finished a pullover that I have been working on for a while and fine tuning. It is still not perfect but I have learned a lot and I am ready to wear it as it is and try to learn from my various mistakes.
Next time with the same yarn I would use a smaller size needle. That said, now I have to figure out how many stitches, etc.
